EXETER FESTIVAL OF SOUTH WEST FOOD AND DRINK

Now in its 14th year, the 2016 festival attracted around 20,000 visitorss, with people flocking to Exeter to indulge in top-notch South West food and drink, to learn from the many cookery demonstrations and workshops and to enjoy family hands-on activities. 2017 promises even more!

South Molton Pannier Market

A Fantastic Day of Apples and Beyond for Everyone; A popular, free, family event, with apples and pears on display and for sale, including many unusual local varieties. Juices and ciders are available for tasting and for sale plus food stalls, children's activities and a produce show which is free to enter. Orchards Live has its own display of apples and can answer queries, while OL members can sell their fruit and juice (see booking details). The Orchards Live press and mill will be in operation so bring your apples along - and some containers to take home your juice.

The Countryman's Fair is held in the glorious grounds of Werrington Park Estate near Launceston. It attracts over 8,500 people from the surrounding area of Cornwall and Devon, who come to enjoy the many country activities.

The South Molton Olde English Fayre dates back to the 12th Century when Lord of the Manor Nicholas Fitz Martyn obtained a charter to hold a fair. Since that date, the Fayre has continued through the centuries being confirmed by Royal Charter in 1590 by Queen Elizabeth I that stated a Fayre can be held annually during the months of June and August. Charles II proclaimed a further Charter for the Fayre in 1684.

GRAPE PICKING

The harvest is one of the most significant times in the year for the vineyard.This is your chance to join in at Eastcott and see at first hand how it works.


Volunteers may register interest by email throughout the year and then we will be in touch once dates are known.


Previous helpers have found this a rewarding, fun and informative day which has given them a long lasting respect for every future glass of wine!
